2018 Volkswagen Jetta revealed!!! (silhouette anyway at Geneva)

As you can see from the screen captures of the 2017 Geneva Volkswagen Press Conference. Volkswagen revealed the silhouette of the 2018 Volkswagen Jetta / FAW Volkswagen Sagitar.
The seventh generation Jetta will be revealed by the end of the year. VW NEWS BLOG believes in October at LA & Guangzhou (China) Auto Shows or an event prior to both shows.

The seventh generation Jetta will move on to the MQB platform. It will share most, if not all of the technologies seen from the platform and its modular media systems. Powertrain will follow for the North American market the current powertrains of 1.4T, 1.8T and 2.0T petrol engines and rest of the world will mirror close to the Golf.

Design wise the Jetta borrows from last years FAW VW New Bora which is based on the PQ34 platform dating from the fourth generation Golf/Bora (Jetta) era. FAW VW New Bora measures 4562mm in length x 1793mm in width x 1468mm in height with a wheelbase of 2614mm.

Expect the seventh generation Jetta to lose weight (up to 20%) and size thanks to the MQB packaging (like the Passat B8). The SAIC VW Lamando (MQB) measures 4598mm in length x 1826mm in width x 1425mm in height and a wheelbase of 2656mm.
